Overview

Our client is seeking a Finance professional to manage financial operations for Japanese entities within a leading international investment management firm expanding across Asia. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily finance and accounting for Japanese corporate entities
  • Oversee vendor payments including invoice review and payment tracking
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient funding for operations
  • Perform monthly financial closing using SAP
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support statutory audit processes
  • Assist with corporate tax filings and statutory reporting in Japan
  • Manage cost control and intercompany cost allocations
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation
  • Support preparation of management financial reports and analysis
  • Assist with opening and administration of corporate bank accounts
  • Execute vendor agreements and coordinate related documentation and approvals
  • Collaborate on finance process improvements and ad hoc projects

Requirements:

  • Experience with Japanese statutory accounting and audit coordination
  • Proficiency in IFRS and familiarity with Japanese accounting standards
  • Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience using SAP for monthly financial closing
  • Fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English
  • Experience in finance or accounting within multinational corporations or financial institutions
  • Knowledge of corporate tax filing and statutory reporting in Japan
  • Experience managing vendor payments and intercompany cost allocations
  • Ability to coordinate with external auditors and support statutory audits
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate accounting records
  • Experience with financial cash flow monitoring and funding management
  • Proactive and independent working style with strong ownership
