We are looking for a talented and ambitious Merchandiser to join Daruma Jeans. As our Merchandiser, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to support product planning, development, production, inventory, and merchandising strategy.
We are looking for someone who understands both the creative and commercial sides of fashion and is excited to help build products that customers love.

• Support the planning and development of new Daruma Jeans products and collections
• Conduct market research and analyze fashion, denim, and consumer trends
• Coordinate with designers, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Manage product schedules and support the development process from concept to launch
• Assist with pricing, product positioning, and merchandising strategy
• Monitor inventory and sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support seasonal product planning and collection management
• Help develop strategies to strengthen the Daruma Jeans brand and product offering
• Coordinate product information, samples, materials, and related documentation
• Take on new responsibilities as the brand and business continue to grow

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: ¥300,000 – ¥600,000 per month (Based on Experience & Performance).

【Employment Type】

Fixed-term contract (Full-time), with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment.

• Initial contract period: 2 months
• Contract renewal may be offered based on performance, attendance, suitability, and business needs.
• Permanent employee conversion is subject to an evaluation and interview during the contract period.
• Permanent employment is not guaranteed.

【Salary】
¥300,000–¥600,000 per month
*Salary will be determined based on prior experience, skills, performance, and overall fit for the role.

【Working Hours】

Flextime system (one-month settlement period)

• Core hours: 9:00–15:00
• Flexible hours: 5:00–22:00
• Standard break: 12:00–13:00

Depending on operational requirements, employees may be required to follow assigned shifts or working hours at specific locations.

• Saturdays, Sundays, and other company-designated days
• Annual paid leave in accordance with Japanese law

【Requirements】

• Experience: Proven track record in fashion/denim merchandising, buying, or product management.

• Skills: Strong analytical mindset (Excel/Sheets) combined with a creative eye for fashion.

• Language: Professional-level English and Japanese.

• Mindset: An entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in ambiguity and loves solving complex business problems.
