Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel for a leading global insurance and financial services organisation with operations in over 50 countries. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex commercial contract negotiations and collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial agreements
- Advise business teams on legal risks
- Manage external legal advisors and outside counsel
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting commercial contracts
- Collaborate with privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, and IP specialists
- Ensure compliance with financial services and insurance regulations
Requirements:
- Qualified Bengoshi
- 5+ years drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Native Japanese, Fluent English language skills
- Knowledge of financial services and insurance industry regulations
- Familiarity with privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, and IP legal issues
- Experience managing external legal advisors and outside counsel
