Company Overview

A company in the banking industry is hiring for a Regulatory Reporting & Accountant position.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are keen to build broad exposure across regulatory reporting, accounting, taxation, and back-office operations within a collaborative team environment. The role offers the chance to contribute to key regulatory and financial reporting functions while supporting a wide range of operational activities.

Job Description
  • Prepare and submit MAS regulatory reports, surveys, and other regulatory filings in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Monitor daily regulatory compliance requirements and prepare compliance summary reports.

  • Maintain reporting documentation, procedural records, and support the implementation of new regulatory requirements.

  • Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including receivables, payables, accruals, prepayments, and maintenance of accounting records.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, GST returns, tax schedules, and DOS surveys.

  • Process and support various back-office operations, including treasury transactions, payment and settlement activities, loan administration, securities and custody operations, and bank reconciliations.

  • Update and maintain operational procedures and manuals to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably within a wholesale banking environment.

  • Bachelor's degree or other tertiary qualification in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

  • Good understanding of MAS regulatory reporting requirements, including reports such as MAS 610 and MAS 649.

  • Knowledge of corporate lending operations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage reporting deadlines effectively.

  • Positive attitude with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new requirements, and support colleagues across functions.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
