同社は、希少な遺伝性疾患領域を中心に治療薬を展開するグローバル製薬企業の日本法人です。今回募集するMedical Science Liaison（MSL）は、末梢神経系に加え、患者様によっては心臓にも影響を及ぼしうる、進行性の希少な遺伝性疾患を中心領域とするポジションです。医療従事者（HCP）との科学的な対話を通じて、疾患・治療に関する最新の知見を届ける重要な役割を担います。日本における医療・フィールド組織は現在拡大フェーズにあり、専門性の高いチームの一員として、患者さんへのインパクトを最大化する機会となります。

主な業務内容

•    担当領域における疾患・治療動向の専門家として、最新の科学的・臨床的知見を常にアップデートする

•    医療従事者との信頼関係を構築・維持し、疾患理解および治療選択肢に関する適切な情報提供を行う

•    コンプライアンスを遵守した上で、医療従事者からの未承諾の医学的問い合わせ（有効性・安全性・作用機序等）に対応する

•    フィールドで得た知見やHCPからのフィードバックを社内の医学・関連部門と共有する

•    患者団体や疾患啓発活動を支援する

•    アドバイザリーボードやHCP向け教育プログラム、関連学会への医学・科学的インプットを提供する

•    フィールド資料の配布・使用にあたり、必要な医学・法務・薬事レビューを調整する

•    全国規模でのフィールド活動に伴う出張（目安：60〜70%程度）

応募要件

•    博士号、薬学博士（PharmD相当）、医学博士（MD）のいずれかを保有していることが望ましい

•    製薬企業のメディカルアフェアーズまたは関連部門での実務経験5年以上、うちMSLとしての経験3年以上が望ましい

•    神経内科および／または循環器領域における臨床・科学的バックグラウンドが望ましい

•    臨床研究、患者リクルート、または医師主導治験に関する具体的な経験

•    査読付き論文または学会発表等の実績

•    医学教育および医療専門家との関係構築における実務経験

•    日本国内の医薬品コンプライアンスおよび医学・法務・薬事レビュー基準に関する実務知識

•    日本語：ネイティブレベルまたはビジネスレベル（医療従事者との臨床的な対話を独力で行える水準）

•    英語力は基本的な日常会話レベルで十分です

•    科学的根拠に基づく情報を的確に伝えるための、優れた口頭・文書コミュニケーション能力

Role Purpose & Strategic Context

Our client is the Japan operation of a global biopharmaceutical company focused on therapies for rare genetic diseases. This Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role centers on a rare, progressive genetic condition that can affect both the nervous system and, in some patients, the heart. The MSL will be the field-based scientific and clinical expert responsible for delivering credible, evidence-based scientific exchange to healthcare professionals (HCPs) across Japan. The organization's Japan medical and field function is currently in a growth phase, offering the opportunity to help shape a specialist team with direct impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

•    Serve as the subject-matter expert on the relevant disease area and its treatment landscape, keeping current with evolving scientific and clinical developments

•    Build and maintain credible relationships with medical experts and HCPs to support scientific understanding of the disease and available treatment options

•    Lead compliant medical-scientific engagements, including responding to unsolicited medical inquiries (efficacy, safety, mechanism-related questions) from HCPs

•    Share field insights and HCP feedback gathered through scientific exchange with internal medical and cross-functional stakeholders

•    Support patient advocacy groups and disease-awareness initiatives

•    Provide medical and scientific input into advisory boards, HCP educational programs, and relevant medical congresses

•    Coordinate required medical, legal, and regulatory review of field materials prior to distribution or presentation

•    Extensive nationwide field travel required (approximately 60–70%)

Requirements

•    Ph.D., PharmD, or MD strongly preferred

•    Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical Medical Affairs or a related function; at least 3 years specifically in an MSL role strongly preferred

•    Clinical or scientific background in neurology and/or cardiology preferred

•    Demonstrated experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, or investigator-sponsored trials

•    Publication record (peer-reviewed literature, congress presentations, or equivalent)

•    Experience in medical education and direct engagement with medical experts

•    Working knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance and medical/legal/regulatory review standards in Japan

•    Japanese: native or business-level proficiency, sufficient to conduct clinical discussions independently with HCPs

•    Basic daily conversational skills in English are sufficient

•    Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey evidence-based scientific information clearly and credibly
