Company Overview
Our client is an established Japanese manufacturing company in Pasir Gudang. They are looking to hire a Production Planner (Japanese Speaking) to support production planning operations and act as a key liaison with our Japanese customers, suppliers, and headquarters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in an international manufacturing environment while contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Coordinate production plans with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales departments to achieve operational targets.
Communicate effectively with Japanese customers, suppliers, and headquarters regarding production schedules, order status, delivery requirements, and planning matters.
Analyze production capacity, material availability, and manpower resources to optimize production efficiency and utilization.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available according to production requirements.
Follow up closely on production progress and proactively resolve scheduling issues and bottlenecks.
Prepare production reports, forecasts, and planning-related documentation for management review.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
2-3 years relevant production planning, production control, or supply chain planning experience.
Proficient in Japanese and English.
Ability to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
