About the Company
A global technology company specializing in advanced manufacturing solutions for the semiconductor and high-tech industries is seeking a Shift Production Supervisor to join its operations team in Kulim, Malaysia. With a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence, the company supports some of the world's leading technology manufacturers through precision engineering, advanced production processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Lead and manage production operators and technicians to ensure productivity, discipline, and operational efficiency.
Monitor manpower utilization, machine performance, and production workflow to optimize resources.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and company policies.
Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to address production-related issues.
Prepare and maintain production reports, downtime records, shift handover updates, and attendance records.
Support new product introduction (NPI), production ramp-up activities, and process improvement projects.
Train and coach production personnel on safety, quality, and manufacturing best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.
Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and a positive work culture within the production department.
Maintain housekeeping standards and support 5S implementation across the production floor.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing or production experience.
At least 1-2 years of experience supervising production teams.
Experience in electronics, semiconductor, automation, CNC machining, or high-tech manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage shift operations and production performance.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Experience in continuous improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage to support communication with diverse stakeholders.
Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
