Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for Design of Automotive Interior systems, Instrument panel

• Ensuring the Component regulations and build from A surface to launch

• 3D Modeling, preparation of assembly, create drawings in UG NX & maintain the data in PLM.

• Candidate must be able to communicate and collaboration between Customer, project team members and stakeholders.

• Preparation of Technical documents and DFMEA documents, DFM, DFA and DFS (design for manufacturing / Assembly /Service) documents.

• Attend CFT Design reviews, take feedback and incorporate in the design.• Preparation of DMU reports and propose solution to the potential issues .

• Preparation of engineering drawings, GD&T and Tolerance stack up plans.

• Understand the manufacturing feedback and provide feasible solutions to the customer.

• Responsible for creating, maintain and releasing components and assemblies in PLM.

• Preparation of ECN documents and manage the release activities.

• Responsible for BOM preparation.

• Enduring quality engineering deliverables of assigned task. 

 SKILLS REQUIRED: 

• Fluent in Japanese + English and able to communicate with customer & Internal stakeholders 

• Knowledge in Design and development of Interior trims / Instrument panel 

• Knowledge in Automotive interior regulations & manufacturing methods 

• Good hands-on of UG NX - 3D modelling and 2D drawing 

• Good knowledge of vehicle development process along with knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP. 

• Knowledge in GD&T and Tolerance stack up. 

• Knowledge in DFA, DFM, DFA for the Automotive interior trims 

• Knowledge in CAE analysis would be added as an advantage 

• Project Management would be added as an advantage

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from reputed Institution / University 

EXPERIENCE BAND 

4- 7 years of experience in Automotive industry 

POSITION 

Selected candidate will be offered as Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer and able to work with customers at various location of Japan
