Dedicated to advancing healthcare and scientific discovery, the organization develops cutting-edge automation, robotics, and precision instrumentation technologies used by laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare providers worldwide.
As part of its growth journey, the company is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in developing next-generation laboratory instruments and automation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment, contribute to new product development, and influence the design of advanced laboratory automation platforms.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design and development of laboratory instruments and automation systems from concept through implementation and product release.
Analyze product requirements and existing systems to develop innovative electrical design solutions.
Design and develop electronic circuits, control systems, embedded systems, and sensor integration for complex instruments.
Create, review, and maintain electrical schematics, PCB designs, technical specifications, test plans, and engineering documentation.
Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
Drive system architecture design with consideration for functionality, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and scalability.
Support PCB design, prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
Conduct root cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of electrical and system-level issues.
Contribute to design-to-cost initiatives and continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.
Evaluate new technologies and components to enhance product performance and competitiveness.
Present technical concepts, solutions, and recommendations to engineering teams and project stakeholders.
Support compliance with applicable product development processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design and product development, preferably within laboratory automation, medical devices, instrumentation, robotics, or related industries.
Strong knowledge of electrical design engineering, including embedded systems, control systems, sensors, and instrumentation.
Hands-on experience in PCB design using Altium Designer.
Good understanding of hardware architecture, system integration, and interface design.
Experience with electronic circuit design, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Basic programming knowledge in Python, C++, Lua, or similar languages.
Experience with CAE tools and electrical design software.
Strong understanding of product development processes and engineering design methodologies.
Ability to create technical specifications, reports, design documentation, and validation plans.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a dynamic R&D environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in laboratory automation, life sciences, medical devices, or precision instrumentation.
Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) principles and compliance requirements.
Experience with Design-to-Cost methodologies.
Familiarity with embedded software and hardware integration.
Experience leading technical projects or serving as technical lead within multidisciplinary development teams.
