COMPANY OVERVIEW
The client is a multinational engineering company operating one of Singapore's most sophisticated high-automation precision manufacturing facilities, supplying a critical component used before any semiconductor chip can exist.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, support, and continuously enhance manufacturing automation applications and related system components.
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 operational support to ensure stable and reliable production system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to improve system responsiveness, reliability, and overall availability.
Gather business and technical requirements to develop, implement, and upgrade automation solutions, including equipment integration and control systems.
Manage functional documentation, change requests, testing activities, and enhancement initiatives.
Plan and deliver user training, knowledge transfer, and application support documentation.
Partner with engineering, operations, and support teams to drive productivity improvements, process optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; alternatively, a Diploma with relevant industry experience.
Experience supporting or developing manufacturing automation, equipment integration, or production systems.
Proficiency in Oracle SQL and database querying.
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES), shop floor automation, and industrial system integration is advantageous.
Familiarity with equipment communication standards and middleware technologies, such as SECS/GEM and TIBCO/Rendezvous (TIB/RV), is preferred.
Experience with equipment automation platforms, including ZNT PAC, is a plus.
Knowledge of fab automation project lifecycles and computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) applications such as SPC, RMS, and MES is highly desirable.
Prior experience in a high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor environment would be advantageous.
