Position: Finance Manager (Japan)

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Singapore, NTI Nanofilm is a global nanotechnology solutions company integrating advanced thin-film coatings, turnkey vacuum coating equipment, micro-optics nanofabrication, and hydrogen fuel-cell surface technologies. With proprietary deposition sources—including Magnetron Sputtering, Arc Evaporation, Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc (FCVA), Closed Space Sublimation (CSS), and Plasma-Enhanced CVD (PECVD), we help electronics, automotive, medical and industrial customers improve performance, durability and sustainability, from R&D through high-volume production. Job Purpose
Lead the finance function for two Japan legal entities by ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective internal controls and business partnering support. The role is responsible for monthly closing, taxation, treasury, budgeting, reporting and supporting the local management team while ensuring compliance with Group policies and Japanese regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly and annual financial closing for two Japan legal entities. Handle job orders costing, prepare statutory financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, IFRS and Japanese GAAP, where applicable.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow reports, monthly management accounts, P&L forecasts and other financial reports. Ensure timely submission of reporting packages for Group consolidation and management reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Japanese tax and statutory requirements. Coordinate annual statutory audits, tax filings and regulatory inspections, and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and government authorities. Monitor changes in accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare annual budgeting and monthly forecasting. Monitor budget versus actual performance, ensure purchase requests are properly approved in accordance with the Delegation of Authority and within approved budgets, and provide variance analysis to corporate finance/management.
  • Manage treasury and working capital by preparing cash flow forecasts, monitoring customer collections, supplier payments and liquidity requirements.
  • Maintain an effective internal control environment by ensuring compliance with Group policies, Delegation of Authority, finance SOPs and internal control requirements. Support internal and external audits and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Support and coordinate day-to-day HR operations and employee-related matters for the Japan office. Work closely with Group HR on the implementation of HR policies and programs. Coordinate with external service providers and advisors as required, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and company policies.

Salary
■ Expected Annual Salary: JPY 8,000,000 – 10,000,000
 (May be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.)
