Position: Metallurgical Engineer
Responsibilities:
Control and monitor the entire tin smelting process, from raw material preparation, smelting operations, metallurgical quality improvement, through to casting and forming.
Inspect and ensure product quality meets established standards; control furnace temperatures and other process parameters to maintain optimal operating conditions.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues that occur during the production process; prepare reports on production performance and metal quality.
Ensure workplace safety when handling molten metals and related equipment.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
Understanding of tin smelting processes or other low-melting-point molten metals.
Knowledge of metal chemical composition and metallurgy principles.
Ability to analyze and understand the effects of various elements present in metals, including alloying elements and trace elements.
Experience using metal analysis equipment, such as Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES) or other metal testing instruments.
Ability to conduct and interpret results of metallurgical testing.
Candidates with direct experience in tin smelting or non-ferrous metals will receive special consideration.
