PR/120060 | Metallurgical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Control and monitor the entire tin smelting process, from raw material preparation, smelting operations, metallurgical quality improvement, through to casting and forming.

• Inspect and ensure product quality meets established standards; control furnace temperatures and other process parameters to maintain optimal operating conditions.

• Analyze and troubleshoot issues that occur during the production process; prepare reports on production performance and metal quality.

• Ensure workplace safety when handling molten metals and related equipment.
   

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.

• Understanding of tin smelting processes or other low-melting-point molten metals.

• Knowledge of metal chemical composition and metallurgy principles.

• Ability to analyze and understand the effects of various elements present in metals, including alloying elements and trace elements.

• Experience using metal analysis equipment, such as Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES) or other metal testing instruments.

• Ability to conduct and interpret results of metallurgical testing.
  Candidates with direct experience in tin smelting or non-ferrous metals will receive special consideration.
