Position: Service Engineer

Reports: Manager

Location: Gurgaon

EDUCATION: Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical from recognized tertiary institution.

Experience: 3-4 years' experience in Service engineer in Mechanical Press and Servo Press.

SCOPE:

Fulfill all requirements of a Service Engineer. 

To work independently and minimum supervision, advise customers on proper maintenance and repairs, perform inspections and prepare documentation, follow manufacturers’ specifications.  Communicate and provide feedback to management to improve customer satisfaction. 

Nurtures, supervises and guides Service staff in all aspects.

EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS:

1. 3-7 years’ experience in similar commodity.

2. Metal forming equipment installation and repair.

3. Mechanical drive maintenance and repair.

4. Electrical wiring and controls diagnosis and repair.

5. Pneumatic and hydraulic systems are maintenance and repair.

General knowledge of:  

• Material feeding and production line systems.

• Rigging and millwright skills.

• Risk management.

• Project schedule planning and execution.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Fulfill all requirements of a Service Engineer.

2. Work under minimum supervision with verbal and written instructions on maintenance, installations and repairs.

3. Instruct associates and customers in the proper maintenance and repair of equipment.  Work closely with Engineers and associates and lead a team of Technicians.

4. Complete the task and follow the instruction and guidelines given by your superior and direct supervisor.

5. Perform maintenance inspections and prepare detailed documentation of necessary repairs and observations.

6. Adjust, fit, and align equipment to manufacturers’ specifications.

7. Communicate and provide feedback to management on opportunities to improve customer and associate satisfaction.

8. Expense reports, time sheets and work orders must be submitted per department policy and in accordance with Employee’s Handbook perform other duties as assigned.
