Assistant Financial Controller (Mandarin)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting operations and collaborate closely with Finance teams in Thailand, China, and the United States to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks and financial procedures in line with corporate policies and accounting standards.

  • Regularly assess business operations and financial processes to identify potential risks and establish effective mitigation strategies.

  • Deliver financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making and drive business performance.

  • Lead and manage the Finance and Accounting team, including performance management, coaching, development, and employee engagement.

  • Oversee external audits, tax compliance, customs matters, treasury activities, and related financial obligations.

  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting process across the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve overall business profitability.

  • Partner with management to strengthen financial discipline and operational accountability throughout the organization.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports, profitability studies, strategic analyses, and support global initiatives and corporate projects as required.

  • Direct and oversee information systems functions to ensure effective support for financial operations and reporting.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience working with US GAAP or US accounting standards is highly preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within multinational organizations and/or manufacturing environments.

  • Strong background in financial controlling, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consulting-related functions.

  • Advanced numerical and analytical capabilities with strong proficiency in ERP systems and technology-driven work environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and executive leadership.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and strong ethical standards.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strategic business acumen.

  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
