A global manufacturing leader specializing in high-performance interconnect, connector, and electronic solutions is seeking a New Product Development (NPD) Engineer to join its team in Penang. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage product development projects to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

• Develop and optimize manufacturing process flows to support new product introduction and production readiness.

• Coordinate tooling transfers and technical activities with internal and external stakeholders.

• Prepare product costing and support customer RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities.

• Manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and routing setup for new products.

• Review technical data, analyze FA (Failure Analysis) results, and implement corrective and improvement actions.

• Monitor and update cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to support successful product launches.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Development, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in Metal Stamping and/or Sheet Metal Fabrication will be a distinct advantage.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Strong understanding of product development processes and manufacturing principles.

• Knowledge of tooling, BOM management, and process flow development is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent project coordination and communication abilities.

• Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
