A leading global semiconductor organization is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join its Global Reliability Lab, supporting product qualification from early development through high-volume manufacturing. This role is critical in ensuring long-term product robustness and reliability by defining qualification strategies, executing reliability testing, and driving failure investigations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Design, Test, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure products meet stringent industry, automotive, and customer reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute reliability qualification plans for semiconductor devices, components, and modules across development and production stages.
Develop and implement comprehensive reliability test strategies, including HTOL, HAST, THB, Temperature Cycling (TC), HTSL, PTC, and mechanical stress testing.
Analyze test results, investigate failures, and provide clear, data-driven conclusions and corrective recommendations.
Assess and mitigate reliability risks associated with new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as JEDEC, IEC, MIL, IPC, and customer-specific requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Test, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing, Quality) to resolve reliability issues and improve product robustness.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp by ensuring reliability targets are achieved.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reliability performance and qualification efficiency.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related discipline).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering.
Proven track record supporting products from development to high-volume manufacturing (NPI to HVM).
Strong understanding of reliability physics and failure mechanisms (e.g., electromigration, corrosion, thermal fatigue, dielectric breakdown).
Hands-on experience with reliability testing methodologies and environmental/mechanical stress equipment.
Ability to interpret schematics, layouts, and mechanical drawings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
Experience in automotive, industrial, or high-reliability applications is an advantage.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.
