Wireless Communication Interpreter – Aichi-Nagoya 2026

Position: On-site Interpreter (Wireless Communication Support)

Event: Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games

Number of Positions: 30

We are looking for on-site interpreters to support wireless communication operations during the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games.

Your role is to provide interpretation support only when signal or wireless communication issues occur at the venue. When not actively engaged, you will remain on standby in the office.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation support during wireless communication or signal issues
• Assist technical teams with troubleshooting communication problems
• Act as a bridge between international staff and local teams
• Stay on standby at the office when support is not required

Venues are grouped into the following regions:

• Gifu / Kasugai Area
• Okazaki / Toyota Area
• Nagoya Area
• Shizuoka / Toyohashi Area
• Izu Area

Equipment will be brought to the designated hub venues within each group for inspection.

 Requirements

• English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 700 / Eiken Grade 2 or higher
• Japanese proficiency equivalent to N2 or higher
• Practical experience using English in a professional setting
• Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work on your feet and walk during shifts
• Positive attitude and flexibility in handling on-site situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of wireless communication or telecommunications
• Experience in the telecom industry
• Interpretation experience (including volunteer work)
• Experience in translation or administrative work
