Position: Japanese Speaking - Global Financial Controller (Senior Manager)

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Management Accounts
Produce detailed management accounts, including variance analysis, performance commentary, and KPI reporting to support business decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting cycles, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Cash Flow Management
Manage cash flow planning, forecasting, and reporting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational requirements.
Internal Controls
Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Audit & Compliance
Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors. Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings (e.g., VAT and Corporation Tax).
Statutory Accounts
Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership
Support, mentor, and develop finance team members, ensuring a high standard of performance and collaboration.
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including auditors, banks, and advisors.
Financial Analysis
Deliver insightful financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Proven experience in a senior finance role (e.g., Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar)
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Demonstrable experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
