Our client, a leading global chemicals and materials company, is currently hiring for Cargo Operation Specialist. This role will oversee daily cargo operations and support trading activities to drive cost efficiency while optimizing feed slate and overall P&L performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Feedstocks & Oxyfuels Trader by coordinating with internal teams to ensure alignment with company strategies and requirements
Manage end‑to‑end cargo operations, covering the full trade lifecycle from deal execution through to cargo discharge
Oversee FOB/CFR/DAP shipments, including vessel vetting, stowage planning, voyage execution, documentation, invoicing, and risk/issue management
Partner closely with traders and stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve operational issues proactively, and ensure smooth execution
Ensure accurate documentation, contract compliance, trade data updates, and handling of LC, demurrage, claims, and audit requirements
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across suppliers, customers, brokers, and internal teams to deliver seamless operations
Apply commercial and technical expertise in oil trading operations (e.g., LPG, naphtha) to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and support P&L
Handle ad-hoc tasks and support continuous improvement of operational processes
Required Competencies
Min 5 years experience in LPG cargo operations with a strong commercial mindset and proven contribution to profitability
Proactive and collaborative team player with a continuous improvement approach to problem-solving
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and resolve complex issues independently
Solid technical knowledge in petroleum logistics (e.g. documents, LC, demurrage, contracts) and handling LPG/Naphtha cargo operations
Experienced in SAP systems, maritime practices, and comfortable working with shipowners, brokers, and traders, including extended hours when required
