Company Overview
Our client is a global contractor with a prestigious heritage in marine engineering, land reclamation, and large-scale civil construction. They are renowned for delivering iconic infrastructure, high-tech industrial facilities, and complex building projects. As they continue to drive growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Senior Tender Engineer to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Tender Management: Assist in coordinating tenders for diverse projects including dredging, reclamation, port development, and infrastructure. This involves analysing project specifications, scope of work, and contractual requirements.

• Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive construction sequences and bid strategies under the guidance of the Tender Manager. You will attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as required.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with engineering, quantity surveying, finance, and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and conduct rigorous risk assessments.

• Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed tender proposals—including cost estimates, schedules, and methodologies—for internal review and executive approval.

• Quality Control: Review all submission documents to ensure contractual, legal, technical, and operational aspects are fully addressed before the deadline.

• Post-Tender Support: Participate in client presentations, interviews, and clarifications. For successful bids, you will ensure a high-quality handover to the project management team.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of studies.

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the construction industry.

• Specialization: Relevant experience in marine civil construction (e.g., dredging, reclamation, or coastal works) is highly advantageous.

• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office, CAD, and relevant construction planning or management software.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local bidding processes, standards, and regulations.

• Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

  • A positive attitude and the resilience to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex tender documents and identify project risks.
