Company Overview
Our client is a global contractor with a prestigious heritage in marine engineering, land reclamation, and large-scale civil construction. They are renowned for delivering iconic infrastructure, high-tech industrial facilities, and complex building projects. As they continue to drive growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor, MEP to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management: Monitor all financial aspects of the project to ensure performance remains within budget; manage and report on project budget and cost control.
Contract Administration: Responsible for post-contract administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts, including final accounts settlement.
Claims & Variations: Prepare monthly main claims and variation orders for consultants; manage monthly subcontractor payment certificates and variations.
Quantity Take-off: Accurate measurement of quantities and taking off based on project specifications.
Procurement & Negotiation: Obtain quotations, perform detailed cost comparisons, and negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to secure viable and reasonably priced materials.
Stakeholder Liaison: Establish and maintain strong rapport and coordination with team members, consultants, clients, contractors, architects, and developers regarding payment certifications and project progress.
Key Requirements
Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience as an M&E/MEP Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in handling tendering for large-scale building projects is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills: Must be highly detailed, meticulous, and possess strong analytical skills.
Communication: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage relationships across various project stakeholders.
