About the Company:
A leading global company in the automotive manufacturing industry, headquartered in Japan, with operations supporting customers across India and international markets. The organisation is involved in the manufacturing of automotive parts and components for a range of automotive applications.
About the role:
Responsible for managing production tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machine spare parts inventory to ensure uninterrupted production operations. The role involves inventory control, spare parts management, engineering drawing interpretation, dimensional verification, procurement coordination, and continuous improvement through TPM, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage inventory of production tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machine spare parts.
Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum/maximum inventory for critical spares to prevent production downtime.
Maintain accurate records of spare parts purchases, consumption, stock levels, and usage history.
Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for tools and spare parts as required.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and spare part drawings.
Perform dimensional verification using measuring instruments.
Coordinate with suppliers for technical discussions and spare part clarifications.
Support production and maintenance teams in resolving tool and spare part-related issues.
Implement and drive Kaizen and 5S activities related to tool management and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or spare parts inventory management.
Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
