Role Overview
The Production Executive will be responsible for leading production planning and control at the India plant, in close collaboration with the Production Management team in Japan. This role focuses on developing and executing efficient production plans aligned with market demand, while optimizing production flow, material availability, and on-time delivery performance to enhance overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop mid- to long-term production strategies, as well as monthly production plans, in alignment with the Japan Headquarters (Production Management Department)
Monitor daily and weekly production progress, proactively identifying gaps and implementing recovery actions to address delays
Oversee material planning and inventory management by coordinating closely with procurement and warehouse teams to avoid shortages and excess stock
Enhance production efficiency by optimizing shop-floor coordination, production instructions, and workflow processes to reduce lead times
Analyze and report key production performance metrics (KPIs) to stakeholders in Japan on a regular basis
Drive the implementation of production management best practices such as 5S, Just-in-Time (JIT), and visual management, and conduct training sessions for local teams
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in production management or production process management within a manufacturing environment
Proven experience working with or supporting overseas teams/factories, preferably in cross-cultural settings
Hands-on experience with ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and progress tracking
Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with local and international stakeholders
Business-level proficiency in English (TOEIC score of 700+ or equivalent preferred)
