A growing IT services and software development company that delivers digital solutions to international clients, with a strong focus on collaboration with overseas teams, particularly in Japan. 


Position Overview
This role focuses on managing and improving internal networks and IT systems for the development team.
We are looking for a hands-on engineer with strong networking skills and basic software development knowledge. Candidates may come from either a networking or software background, as long as they have solid network experience.
You will develop, maintain, and improve internal tools (such as management systems, web apps, and scripts), as well as enhance existing in-house systems.
The role requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot issues, and deliver practical solutions.


Main Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and improve internal networks, including VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and performance issues

• Design network architecture, access control, and security suitable for a development organization

• Develop and improve internal IT management systems and operational tools

• Understand, maintain, enhance, and improve existing internally developed systems and scripts

• Communicate with vendors and ISPs for technical inquiries, quality management, and improvement proposals

• Collaborate with the Japan headquarters and development teams to build and improve IT infrastructure

Must-have Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a network engineer, infrastructure engineer, or software engineer

• Hands-on experience with networking technologies such as LAN / VLAN / Wi-Fi / VPN / Firewall / Router / Switch / DNS / DHCP

• Experience in network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization

• Experience in designing and operating network security (Firewall/UTM, VPN, access control)

• Experience maintaining, improving, or modifying internal systems, business tools, or operation tools

• Ability to read existing code/scripts and make basic modifications, troubleshooting, and improvements

• Experience working in an IT company, software development company, or engineering organization

• Ability to independently investigate technical issues and implement solutions

• Ability to read and write technical documentation and communicate in English
  
   

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Linux servers, cloud environments, and virtualization

• Experience in infrastructure/network security such as Zero Trust, cloud networking, EDR, and vulnerability management

• Experience using Git / GitLab / GitHub for source code management

• Experience developing or improving internal tools using web applications, scripts, databases, or API integrations

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Security+, ITIL

• Experience leading small teams or vendors

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in Japanese
