Join a leading global technology organization as a Senior Data Engineer, supporting large-scale Elasticsearch and MySQL environments within modern cloud-native infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on designing, deploying, optimizing, and managing highly available database systems running on Kubernetes-based environments.

You will work closely with development, operations, and SRE teams to drive automation, operational excellence, and scalable database architecture while contributing to mission-critical infrastructure supporting millions of users worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced database engineers seeking exposure to enterprise-scale cloud and e-commerce environments in Japan.

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize large-scale Elasticsearch clusters in production environments.
• Manage highly available and scalable MySQL database clusters across containerized infrastructure platforms.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization to improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Implement backup, recovery, monitoring, and database security strategies.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and operational tasks using Python, Bash, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
• Monitor database health, capacity, and performance using enterprise observability tools.
• Troubleshoot production database incidents and conduct root cause analysis for operational issues.
• Lead lifecycle management activities for database platforms and infrastructure environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and SRE teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews, operational improvement initiatives, and technical discussions.
• Document database architectures, operational procedures, and technical runbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations supporting critical production systems.

• Elasticsearch運用経験3年以上
• 大規模Elasticsearchクラスターの設計・運用経験
• 本番環境でのMySQL運用経験
• Kubernetesおよびコンテナ型データベース環境の経験
• AWSまたはGCPなどクラウド環境での業務経験
• バックアップ・リカバリー戦略の設計経験
• Prometheus、Grafana、Kibana、Splunkなど監視ツール利用経験
• PythonまたはBashを用いた自動化経験
• 障害対応および原因分析経験
• 高可用性・スケーラブル環境での運用経験
• クロスファンクショナルチームとの協業経験

• More than 8 years of experience as a Database Engineer in enterprise environments.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing Elasticsearch platforms.
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale Elasticsearch clusters and MySQL environments.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerized database deployments, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience implementing database backup, recovery, monitoring, and automation strategies.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, or Splunk.
• Experience automating operational tasks using Python or Bash scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting production incidents and supporting highly available infrastructure environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
