Farming Technician｜4 Days On, 4 Days Off｜未経験歓迎・サーモン養殖

Role Highlights

• Join a new land-based salmon farming facility scheduled to open in 2027. Support daily fish farming operations and equipment inspections at a facility planned to be the world’s largest of its kind.
• No prior aquaculture experience is required. Comprehensive training after joining will help you develop specialist skills from the ground up.
• Use English when communicating with your supervisor. This role is suited to someone who would like to use English regularly at work.
• Approximately 180 days off per year under a four-days-on, four-days-off schedule, with limited overtime. Relocation assistance may be discussed for candidates moving from farther away.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily hatchery operations, including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring fish health.
• Inspect and maintain hatchery equipment and systems.
• Regularly measure water quality parameters, such as temperature and pH, and report abnormalities.
• Record data on fish growth, survival rates, and health.
• Support other related operations as needed.

This is a team member position reporting to a Supervisor.

Expected Annual Salary
JPY 4.1 million–4.5 million

Work Schedule
Shift work: four consecutive 12-hour workdays followed by four consecutive days off.

Mie Facility: 5000-2 Mori-cho, Tsu-shi, Mie Prefecture, Japan

Daily attendance at the facility is required. Candidates who can live near the facility are welcome. Relocation assistance may be discussed separately.

Holidays and Leave
Summer holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, childcare leave, Golden Week holidays, bereavement leave, and other leave.

Annual paid leave: 10–20 days. In the first year, 10–15 days are granted after six months of employment, depending on the joining month.

業務内容 

• 孵化場の日常業務の補助（清掃、餌やり、魚の健康管理 など） 
• 孵化場設備・システムの点検およびメンテナンス 
• 水質（温度、pH など）の定期的な測定と異常の報告 
• 魚の成長・生存率・健康状態のデータ記録 
• その他関連業務のサポート 

役職
Memberクラスのポジションです。Supervisorへレポートいただきます。

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in everyday English
• Ability to communicate in Japanese
• Graduation from a high school, vocational school, or university in aquaculture or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of aquaculture
• Strong attention to detail, good observational skills, and a responsible approach to work

Preferred Experience

• Experience working at a fish farm or hatchery is an advantage

Selection Process

• Approximately two interviews
• No written test
• Multiple openings
