This role leads the design, development, and operation of large‑scale Java‑based systems powering a major e‑commerce marketplace in Japan. You will drive technical decisions, ensure platform scalability and stability, and provide senior‑level leadership across projects and teams.

Description

• Understand business priorities and deliver high‑quality Java services within tight schedules
• Lead architecture design and technical decision‑making for high‑traffic Java web systems
• Take ownership of system design, development, testing, release, and long‑term operation
• Act as a senior engineer leading projects or small engineering teams end‑to‑end
• Design, develop, and enhance Java/Spring Boot backend services and REST APIs
• Drive scalability, maintainability, and future system evolution
• Support production operations including investigations, inquiries, and incident handling
• Lead service monitoring, troubleshooting, and post‑incident reporting
