COMPANY OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Material Engineer to oversee material selection, testing, and integration for the development of new products.
Work Location: Vsip 2 – Binh Duong.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Material Selection & Testing:
Select appropriate materials for product development based on mechanical, electrical properties.
Conduct testing and validation of materials, including failure analysis, performance testing, and environmental compatibility.
Oversee the setup of testing environments and ensure accuracy in testing procedures.
2.Component Engineering:
Review and analyze component designs, ensuring materials used meet the requirements for strength, durability, and functionality.
Work with suppliers to identify suitable materials for specific product components (e.g., Sensor, SMT components, ceramics, glass, Stiffener, Flex, VCM, …).
Conduct risk assessments, including tolerance analysis and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for components.
3.Manufacturing Support:
Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to ensure material-related issues are resolved during the production process.
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot material-related failures in the manufacturing process.
Develop guidelines for material handling and storage to ensure material integrity during production.
4.Supplier & Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with material suppliers and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
Evaluate and approve new materials and components from suppliers based on performance, quality, and cost.
5.Material Engineering Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation for all materials, including specifications, testing results, and supplier certifications.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO, etc.) for materials.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in material engineering, with a focus on product development and manufacturing.
Expertise in material science (Mechanical, Electrical Materials, ceramics, composites).
Strong understanding of material testing methods and failure analysis techniques.
Experience working with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve material-related issues.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
Proficiency in English (Chinese skill is a plus).
