Job Description

This position is a Project Manager role responsible for leading PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) digital transformation implementation projects for manufacturing customers. Acting as the primary client-facing point of contact, you will manage project planning, execution, and quality while supporting the successful adoption of next-generation PLM systems.

Department Introduction: This department provides end-to-end IT and IoT solutions to customers to support digital transformation across engineering and manufacturing domains.

Project Overview: This project focuses on the digital transformation of a PLM system. The customer is currently using a legacy PLM system and is planning to migrate to a next-generation PLM platform. The key objective is to meet engineering process requirements by configuring the PLM product with minimal customization.

Position Highlights: This is a client-facing role responsible for managing end-to-end digital transformation implementation projects. The position requires a strong understanding of project management, engineering and manufacturing business processes, and core Product Lifecycle Management concepts across various PLM platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple stakeholders and ensure smooth communication
  • Define Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and manage implementation and delivery progress
  • Manage project risks, issues, and action items
  • Manage project delivery and quality metrics and define related processes
  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies and trends to projects

Future Career Path" You will gain experience in planning and executing complete PLM implementations while working closely with both Japan and global teams. This role helps you build domain knowledge, business process understanding, and consulting skills.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in software development lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Experience managing risks and multiple stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and PLM concepts
  • Business-level communication in English and Japanese

Language Requirements:

  • Japanese: Fluent
  • English: High Business level

■ Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in digital engineering or manufacturing consulting
  • Experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA
  • Experience in digital transformation projects in global environments

  • Working Hours: 9:00 - 18:00 (Flex time available)
  • Work Location: Tokyo, Nagoya, or Osaka
  • Work Style: Hybrid (3–5 days in office), with possible client site work
