Location: Madrid, Spain
Role Overview – Finance LeadThe Finance Lead oversees financial reporting, analysis, and performance management for multiple business segments. The role ensures regulatory compliance, accurate accounting records, and effective control of segment P&Ls, cost centres, cash flow, and working capital. It also contributes to financial statement preparation, month‑end close, and restructuring projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage monthly reporting for assigned business segments, including variance analysis and commentary.
Present financial results to segment leadership and support profitability improvements.
Prepare and analyse core financial statements.
Lead specific areas of the month‑end close process.
Support annual audit deliverables and group financial statements.
Reconcile ERP and BI systems.
Conduct FP&A activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
Oversee cash management and approve weekly payments.
Co‑lead the budgeting process with segment leadership.
Identify and implement process improvements.
Manage and review the work of two finance analysts.
Background in accounting or training from an international accounting firm (approx. 4 years ideal).
Strong knowledge of IFRS.
Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and proactive.
Experience supporting senior leaders through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and variances.
Excellent communication skills across all levels and functions.
Adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
Collaborative team player open to new initiatives and one‑off projects.
Experience with ERP/BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, Tableau) or fast‑moving e‑commerce/retail environments is beneficial.
High level of English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
