【Job purpose】
<Role 1> Joint Venture (JV) Governance and Financial Management Lead
1. Serve as an officer (Treasurer/Assistant Treasurer) in the JV

  • Exercise approval rights based on the Shareholder Agreement (SHA): Collaborate with partner officers to exercise approval rights for JV fund disbursement, financial statements, and tax filings.
  • Implement governance and controls: Develop appropriate authority regulations for JV governance with partners, ensure compliance with legal procedures (corporate governance), supervise accounting/tax execution, and operate internal controls to protect RENOVA’s interests and financial soundness.
  • Cash call management: Lead the creation and issuance of cash call notices and management of sponsor loans based on project funding plans.

2.Budget Management
Lead the formulation of JV budgets: Lead the creation of annual business plans and budgets reflecting EPC, O&M, and financing plans, and drive the approval process at the board of directors.

3.Lender Relations
Senior debt management: Lead financial reporting, covenant compliance, and communication with JV lenders throughout construction and operation periods.

<Role 2> Financial, Accounting, and Budget Management for Local Subsidiary (RRP)
1. Oversee RRP accounting and tax operations

  • Take final responsibility for RRP’s monthly/annual closing, audits, and corporate tax filings.
  • Establish and maintain compliance with Philippine accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Report on RRP accounting and tax matters to RENOVA headquarters.
  • Oversee RRP cash management

2.RRP Budget Management
Consolidate budgets for various Philippine projects, lead budget formulation, variance analysis, and monthly management reporting for RRP, and report to RENOVA headquarters.

(6 months to 1 year)
・For JV governance and financial management:
In the first month, receive explanations from the current overseas business department staff and interact with related departments (EPC, FP, OP, GB, Legal) to understand expectations and set goals. Depending on progress, gradually take on Role 1 from the second month.

・For accounting, tax, and budget management:
In the first month, receive skill transfer from HQ accounting, management, and overseas business departments. Depending on progress, gradually take on Role 2 from the second month.

・For effective onboarding and collaboration with Philippine members, the reporting line will be to the site manager.

・For building JV financial and corporate governance, regular 1-on-1s will be set up with supporting departments (overseas business, FP, EPC, OP, GC, Legal) to support role execution.

Our company has established a joint venture with a local partner in the Philippines to promote renewable energy development. We are looking for a person who can lead financial and corporate management for the joint venture. Since we also have a local subsidiary in the Philippines, the role will also cover accounting, tax, and budget management for this entity.

【Department Description】
Global Business Development Div. and Finance & Planning Div.
This department promotes renewable energy development projects in the Philippines.
Responsibilities include financial and corporate management of joint ventures, as well as accounting, tax, and budget management for local subsidiaries.

【Department Structure】
Philippines Business Department: 9 members (1 manager, 8 business development members)

【Employment Type】
Full-time employee

【Salary】
Negotiable based on experience

【Working Hours】
8 hours per day (typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with flexible hours.
Overtime hours: Approximately 20 hours.

Required Skills

【Capability/ Experience Required (Must)】

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent accounting/finance qualification.
  • Over 10 years of practical experience in finance, accounting, tax, and internal controls, with at least 5 years in management roles.
  • Experience in project finance, fundraising, or financial management in power generation, infrastructure, or large-scale projects.
  • Deep knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PFRS) and tax laws.
  • Ability to practically lead accounting, tax, and budget management for Philippine local subsidiaries (RRP) and SPCs.
  • Deep knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and international taxation.
  • Business-level or higher English proficiency (written and spoken)

【Capability/ Experience Required (Plus)】

  • Practical experience in the renewable energy or power sector in the Philippines.
  • Experience in financial and contract management under JV governance, especially collaboration with joint venture partners.
  • Legal/contractual perspective to understand contracts such as SHA and apply contractual rights and obligations to financial operations.
