Job Description

Position:   Layout Engineer & Project Management (Machinery).

Salary:       70,000 – 100,000THB +/- (Negotiable) 

Location:   Samutprakarn

Our client is big brand Machinery project. 

 

Key Responsibilities of the position:

Technical Layout & Design

  • Spatial Optimization: Designing 2D and 3D floor plans for machinery integration, ensuring optimal workflow, ergonomics, and safety clearances.

  • Utility Planning: Identifying and mapping requirements for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC connections for each piece of equipment.

  • Software Proficiency: Creating high-precision schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit).

Project Management Lifecycle

  • Scope & Scheduling: Defining project milestones, from procurement and delivery to installation and commissioning.

  • Budget Oversight: Tracking CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) costs, managing vendor quotes, and ensuring the project stays within financial bounds.

Execution & Installation

  • On-site Supervision: Overseeing the physical installation of machines, ensuring contractors follow the blueprints and safety protocols.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential "bottlenecks" in the layout or timeline before they cause delays.
  • Punch Listing: Managing the final walkthroughs to ensure the machine is leveled, powered, and performing to spec.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • Experience: 5+ years in Project Management and Layout design and management.

  • Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Drafting Software: Advanced mastery of AutoCAD (2D) is non-negotiable. Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Revit (3D/BIM) is increasingly required for complex spatial modeling.
