Position & Department: Technical Superintendent
Location- Mumbai
Qualification- Diploma or B Tech (Mechanical or Electrical)
Job description-
· Promote and adhere to the company's HSEQ policies.
· Manage day-to-day technical operation and performance of assigned vessels to ensure that applicable requirements to safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental performance are met.
· Monitor and evaluate the maintenance standard on board, including reporting and execution of breakdown/defect maintenance.
· Management of incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
· Marine casualty management as per IMS.
· Develop, monitor and control running cost budgets to meet goals and KPI's.
· Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory, Class and other third-party requirements.
· Supervise and report repairs and modifications, including insurance repairs.
· Manage all phases of the dry-docking process from initial planning to completion.
· Arrangement of spares, stores, lubricants, paints etc. for vessels.
· Ensure that all activities, also by third parties engaged, comply with set HSEQ standards.
· Visit assigned vessels regularly and submit relevant reports.
· Co-ordination of activities between vessels and office.
· Appraisal of crew on board for the vessel in charge.
Job Requirement
· Candidate must hold Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
· Sailing experience of 2 years or more at management level (preferably Chief Engineer) on board ship.
· Sailing experience of at least 2 years on LNG vessels. OR minimum 2 years of superintendent experience handling LNG vessels.
· Good understanding of Dual Fuel Engines, LNG Cargo containment and handling system.
· Good communication and inter-personal skills, with cultural awareness.
· Good analytical skills/assessment ability.
· Leadership skills.
· Have a holistic perspective, without losing attention to details.
