Job Description

 

  • Provide technical and functional expertise for core business applications, acting as the service owner responsible for ensuring availability, reliability and fitness for purpose.
  • Analyse and resolve application issues, manage incident response, and coordinate communication with internal stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, collaborating with business sponsors and global project teams to enhance systems and support strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to application roadmaps, assess long‑term service improvements, and drive modernisation, consolidation and efficiency across the application landscape.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across EMEA, Americas and Tokyo to support ongoing operational processes, change initiatives and regulatory‑aligned system enhancements.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong functional knowledge of IT systems, including UNIX and Oracle databases.
  • Experience in a technical support role, with an understanding of banking systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey clear and accurate information.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Desirable: Project management experience.
  • Desirable: Good level of written and spoken Japanese.
