Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and coach development teams in Scrum and Agile practices.
• Facilitate daily stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlog clarity and prioritization.
• Act as a liaison between Japanese speaking stakeholders and global teams, ensuring effective communication.
• Identify and remove impediments to team progress.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and Agile maturity.
• Ensure delivery governance cadence and alignment with organizational goals.
• Support cross functional collaboration across QA, DevOps, and Product teams.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Agile project management, with at least 3+ years as a Scrum Master.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese (native or business level) and English.
• Experience working in onsite environments with multicultural teams.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Rally, or similar).

Nice to Have

• Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master).
• Experience in cloud based projects or enterprise scale digital transformation.
• Knowledge of Japanese business culture and practices.
• Prior experience in IT services or product development companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor‿s/Master‿s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven bilingual proficiency (Japanese & English).
• Strong track record of successful Agile delivery in onsite roles.
