Forward Deployed Engineer (Leader/Senior)

A Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) does not work only in front of a PC.
We go deep into our clients’ manufacturing sites (factories and laboratories) and uncover the real problems hidden in messy processes and human relationships.
You must be able to talk with customers, understand the business context, and turn that into implementable solutions using modern technologies (Snowflake, dbt, Python, etc.).

We expect you to grow into a high-value hybrid professional who can bridge consulting-level logical thinking and engineering execution, and take ownership of the entire process—from problem discovery to design, implementation, and value creation.

■Responsibilities
Work with the CEO, Lead Engineers, PMs, and others to deliver projects. While handling both technical implementation and client communication, you will drive work end-to-end: structuring problems, designing solutions, implementing, and deploying.

1. Client-facing / Problem Solving (Consulting)
   　-Interview client stakeholders to identify workflow bottlenecks and data requirements
   　-Use dashboards and analyses you create to explain findings logically and propose next actions
   　-Quickly learn manufacturing domains and structure problems clearly
2. Data & AI Implementation (Engineering / AI)
   　-Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) using Python and SQL
   　-Design and test data transformation logic using dbt
   　-Build AI workflows and agents, tune LLM algorithms, and evaluate accuracy
   　-Support deployment in client environments and assist decision-making
3. On-site Adoption & Relationship Building (On-site Growth)
   　-Build trust with domain experts on site (such as plant managers) and promote data usage
   　-Work closely with frontline teams and drive continuous improvement cycles
4. Solution Development & Scaling
   　-Abstract and generalize knowledge from multiple projects into reusable solutions
   　-Improve and scale products and services across clients

Required Qualifications
① Experience in system design and development
Experience designing and developing large-scale or high-reliability, high-performance systems, and development experience using Python, SQL, etc.

② Execution in uncertain business environments
Experience making data-driven decisions in uncertain situations, running hypothesis testing, and delivering results.

③ Experience implementing and deploying Machine Learning / Generative AI
Experience applying machine learning or generative AI to business problems and working with clients and stakeholders to drive implementation and value creation.

④ Problem-solving and lean execution
Ability to structure complex problems, run rapid hypothesis testing, and see solutions through to completion.

⑤ Logical communication skills
Ability to organize complex information and explain it clearly to others.

⑥ Business-level English　（Japanese proficiency is not required.）

Preferred Qualifications

・Practical experience in customer-facing roles, such as system implementation and operations involving client communication, presales, or accompanying sales activities

・Development experience using Python, TypeScript (especially React), and GraphQL / REST APIs / MCP

・Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with data analysis libraries such as Pandas

・Understanding of data structures and algorithms, with experience implementing them

・Expertise in machine learning or LLMs, or a proactive attitude toward experimenting with and applying LLM-based pro
