■Role Purpose
As HSSE Advisor you are responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health Safety Security and Environmental practices are implemented and maintained during offshore installation campaign of foundations and wind turbines. You play a crucial role in overseeing HSSE compliance risk management incident prevention and promoting a strong safety culture within the project team and contractors. Ambassador for the company’s Safety leadership and Life Saving Rules.
■Key Responsibilities
【Corporate deliverables】
・Actively demonstrate the company safety principles ensuring they are embedded with the project.
・Compliance and verification against corporate / project Operating Management System (OMS)
【HSSE Strategy and Planning】
・Assist to embed the HSSE strategy throughout the project and within each contractor’s scope of work.
・Liaise with both project and contractors ensuring clear planning on HSSE controls and measures in place. Verify plans in action.
【Compliance and Regulatory Affairs】
・Provide guidance on relevant HSSE regulations standards and guidelines within the project packages.
・Ensure project compliance with all applicable HSSE laws and regulations as well as company standards and contractual requirements.
【Risk Management】
・Identify assess and mitigate HSSE risks associated with project activities.
・Verification project risk registers are embedded and reviewed.
・Sharp end verification that HSSE documentation such as risk assessments and method statements are suitable and sufficient for operations and utilised.
【Training and Awareness】
・Deliver HSSE training programs for project personnel contractors and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture and enhance HSSE awareness.
・Act as HSSE SME within project meetings
・Ensure adherence to Life Saving rules or contractor equivalent is implemented and tracked.
【Investigation and Reporting】
・Support with investigations into HSSE incidents near misses and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
・Ensure reporting against specified KPI’s and deliver to Project HSSE Manager with proposed improvement activities against gaps.
【Stakeholder Engagement】
・Foster positive relationships with contractors to promote transparency and collaboration on HSSE culture and deliverables.
・Represent JNbp within contractor safety meetings forums and kick off meetings.

■Qualifications Experience:
・Degree in related discipline Engineering or Science or equivalent experience.
・Prior experience in HSSE Advisory position preferably in the renewable energy or offshore industry.
・Demonstrated knowledge of HSSE regulations standards and practices relevant to offshore operations (e.g. OSHA ISO 45001 ).
・Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
・Fluent in Japanese
・English desirable
・GWO Basic Safety Training (First Aid Manual Handling Fire Awareness Working at Heights and Sea Survival)
■Key Competencies Deliverables
・Providing visible and active HSSE presence within the project
・Deliver project specific HSSE campaigns and associated supporting documentation.
・Gather information on project HSSE performance for use in trend analysis and reporting.
・Ensure compliance with usage of the companies HSSE reporting system.
・Maintain and participate in project level training and exercises highlighting development areas as required.
・Ensure contractor emergency response plans are in place and tested.
・Support with HSSE focused reviews during the vessel vetting process.
・Act as SME within various disciplines of constructing a wind farm in relation to HSSE.
・Internal reporting on HSSE performance
・Implementation of project HSSE related documentation and requirements
・HSSE reports for project and organisation.
・Ensure contractor strategic kick off meetings at 3 levels (Initial Project team Contractors)
・Implementing a project HSSE recognition incentive
・Develop a project wide HSSE bulletin / newsletter.
・Attend and host project HAZID / HAZOP / HIRA workshops and with contractors.
・Ensure Risk registers are actively consulted and updated.
・Promote and support Management HSSE walks
