施設・設備管理マネージャーは、西町インターナショナルスクールの元麻布キャンパス、および群馬県にあるキャンプ施設などの責任を負い、清潔で機能的、かつ安全で魅力的な教育環境を維持・提供することを目的とします。
本ポジションは、施設管理の技術的・財務的側面(予算管理、中長期修繕計画)に精通しているだけでなく、生徒、保護者、教職員と協力しながら学校行事を円滑に運営するリーダーシップが求められます 。また、施設・設備管理アシスタントの直属の上司として、チームの指導・育成も担当します。
Job Summary
The Plant and Facility Manager is responsible for the Moto-Azabu campus of Nishimachi International School, as well as camp facilities located in Gunma Prefecture. The purpose of this role is to maintain and provide a clean, functional, safe, and attractive educational environment. This position requires not only expertise in the technical and financial aspects of facility management (including budget management and mid- to long-term repair planning), but also leadership to ensure the smooth operation of school events through collaboration with students, parents, and faculty/staff. The Plant and Facility Manager will also serve as the direct supervisor of the Plant and Facility Assistant and is responsible for guiding and developing the facilities team.

Job Responsibilities
A. Mid to Long-term and Daily Facility Management & Planning
● Develop strategic plans to provide functional and safe facilities in alignment with the school’s mission
● Manage maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and furnishings
● Implement cost-effective facility repair and maintenance plans
● Oversee service quality and supervise external vendors for cleaning, landscaping, pest control, etc.
● Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and arrange appropriate repairs
● Develop long-term plans for large-scale renovations and repairs
B. Safety, Security, and Legal Compliance
● Manage and implement fire safety measures, security systems, and emergency evacuation drills
● Strict management of physical keys and electronic card keys
● Supervise accurate record-keeping for inspections, certifications, and compliance-related documentation
● Carry out legally required inspections (e.g., fire safety equipment checks, periodic reports for special buildings) and liaise with relevant authorities
● Ensure safety and coordinate appropriate responses and recovery efforts in the event of major disasters
C. Vendor Management and Budget Negotiation
● Obtain quotations from external vendors, evaluate proposals, and negotiate pricing in accordance with accounting protocols
● Collect and process invoices and manage budget versus actual expenditures on a prescribed schedule
● Evaluate services to ensure they meet contractual terms and school standards, and provide feedback
D. Space Utilization and Facility Improvement Projects
● Plan for optimal and effective use of campus spaces and coordinate with the Auxiliary Department to align facility availability with both maintenance needs and revenue-generating activities.
● Manage small to mid-scale facility improvement projects, including oversight of schedules, budgets, and safety
E. Team Leadership and Communication
● Directly supervise and guide the Plant and Facility Assistant, cleaning staff, and external contractors
● Collaborate with the Operations Manager to coordinate setup and breakdown operations and provide logistical support for school events
● Foster a spirit of collaboration with the Auxiliary Department to ensure facility maintenance and inspection plans are able to be conducted and undertaken in a way that is conducive to the revenue goals and schedules of auxiliary programs through strong communication and collaboration
●Maintain smooth communication with stakeholders including the Board, faculty/staff, parents, and students

Required
● Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
● Experience: Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in facility management or a related field
● Management & Reporting Skills: Ability to organize and clearly explain budget management and maintenance/inspection records
● Language: Native-level Japanese and working-level English (reading, writing, and speaking)
● Skills:
○ Ability to manage small to mid-scale facility projects
○ Basic computer skills (Google Sheets/Docs, Excel, Word, email, data analysis, etc.)

● Professional certifications in facility management, construction, electrical, or mechanical fields
● Experience working in an educational institution (school)
