Job Description
Designation - Assistant Manager - EHS
Location - Chennai
Key Responsibilities
To meet statutory requirements under the Factories Act, 1948 and the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950.
- The role is based at the Chennai factory and reports to the Chief Safety Officer, Chennai Plant.
- Discharge duties and responsibilities of a Safety Officer as prescribed under the Factories Act, 1948 and Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950.
- Plan, manage, and control safety-related budgets, including audits, inspections, statutory fees, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure 100% compliance with site safety standards, work permit systems, and statutory safety requirements.
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations to ensure adherence to safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Monitor implementation of safety policies, procedures, and corrective actions across the site.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of safety inspections, incidents, training programs, audits, and statutory compliance documentation.
