Climate Scope 3 Emissions Reduction:
・Lead Scope 3 emissions reduction strategy for Asahi’s Japan operations engaging suppliers logistics partners and farmers to drive decarbonization.
・Collaborate with procurement to ensure supplier carbon reduction targets align with Asahi’s Science Based Targets (SBTi) policies.
・Support Asahi’s climate risk reporting and enhance carbon footprint tracking across the value chain.
・Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and implement innovative solutions for reducing our carbon footprint.
Circular Economy Sustainable Packaging:
・Drive Asahi’s commitment to 100% sustainable packaging by 2030 focusing on increasing the use of:
o Recycled aluminium and glass r PET
o Reusable packaging and refill systems to minimize environmental impact.
・Work with suppliers and stakeholders to strengthen closed loop recycling
・Engage in industry collaborations in Japan to drive circularity principles
Sustainable Agriculture Responsible Sourcing
・Oversee sustainable sourcing programs for key raw materials including barley hops corn sugar milk palm oil etc
・Partner with farmers and cooperatives to expand regenerative agriculture practices improve soil health and reduce fertilizer related emissions.
・Ensure compliance with Asahi’s Responsible Sourcing Standards and international sustainability certifications.
Human Rights Ethical Supply Chain
・Implement human rights due diligence across Asahi’s Japan supply chain in line with Japan’s Guidelines on Respecting Human Rights in Responsible Supply Chains and international frameworks (UNGPs OECD Due Diligence).

・Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability Environmental Science Supply Chain Management or a related field.
・10+ years of experience in corporate sustainability ESG or responsible sourcing preferably in FMCG beverage or manufacturing industries.
・Strong understanding of Japan’s sustainability policies recycling systems and human rights laws.
・Expertise in Scope 3 emissions reduction circular economy and sustainable packaging (r PET recycled aluminium and glass).
・Experience collaborating with Japanese regulatory agencies industry associations and sustainability certification bodies.
・Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
・Fluency in Japanese (native r fluent) and English (business level).
