Job Description

 

Background

As part of tbe global digital transformation initiative, the Japan business is replacing legacy customer databases with brand new, open source systems developed in house. The new systems will have a material impact on system performance, internal operations and customer/client services.

Your Role is to analyse and docuemnt the exisiting legacy databases and design a new open source solution to fully update the entire back end systems of the company.
- Analyse existing databases for customer/client data and map data flows to business processes
- Design and develop new open source data architecture
- Build new database systems in collaboration with internal development team
- Plan and Implement data migration to new system
- Collaborate with third party system providers to build new APIs for smooth migration and cutover

General Requirements

Minimum Experience Level Over 3 years
Career Level Mid Career
Minimum English Level Business Level (Amount Used: English usage about 50%)
Minimum Japanese Level Business Level
Minimum Education Level High-School
Visa Status Permission to work in Japan required

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Legacy Data Platforms such as MS Access, SQL Server or Oracle
- ETL/Datawarehousing experience highly advantageous
- Business Level English & Japanese
