Job Title: Business Analyst (Maritime)

Your New Role
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business performance, profitability, and valuation scenarios, including scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of strategic decisions.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across the group while translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for management.
Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and prepare sector reports and benchmarks that guide strategic direction.
Work closely with senior leadership to synthesize research findings into meaningful business recommendations.
Collaborate with Corporate Development and Finance teams on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and new business evaluations, including analytical reviews and financial due diligence.
Monitor performance across portfolio companies, identify improvement areas, and track key success metrics.
Prepare high-quality investor presentations, fundraising materials, management reports, pitch decks, dashboards, and strategic briefing documents, ensuring consistency and clarity across all communications.
Partner with product, operations, and finance teams to align business plans with overall strategic and financial objectives while contributing analytical support during reviews and discussions.
Assist in implementing tools, processes, and reporting frameworks that enhance business visibility, operational clarity, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Qualifications for Success
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
2–4 years of professional experience in strategy, finance, consulting, or technology-driven startups.
Exposure to M&A, fundraising, or strategic planning processes is an added advantage.
Background from Big 4 (Deals) is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, market analysis, and business case development.
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience preparing high-quality presentations and reports for senior stakeholders.
Proven understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and investment principles.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, confident engaging cross-functional teams and leadership.
Self-starter with adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Passion for technology, innovation, and data-driven problem solving, with interest in maritime, industrial technology, or fintech.
Professional certification or training in financial analysis, corporate strategy, or data analytics (e.g., CFA, CFM, or equivalent) is a plus.
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with data visualization tools.
