【東京・港区】プロジェクトエンジニア(電力システム/電気) Project Engineer

業務内容

本ポジションは、アジア事業開発担当シニアディレクター／日本ゼネラルマネージャー、または会社が任命するその他の担当者の指揮・監督のもとに置かれます。

• PDチームの一員として、水素・アンモニア焚き火力発電所およびデータセンターに関する特別高圧／高圧系統連系および電気インフラの技術評価を担当。地域電力会社との調整を通じて、発電設備および負荷設備の系統連系申請の策定を主導または支援し、系統容量、技術的可能性、スケジュールの評価を実施。
• 発電プロジェクトもしくはデータセンタープロジェクトにおいて、候補地または特定済みのプロジェクトサイトの戦略的適性を評価。当該評価項目には、電力系統へのアクセス性、連系点の位置、出力抑制のリスク、系統信頼性、光ファイバ幹線／陸揚げ拠点への近接性等が含まれ、単線結線図、電力バランス、保護リレーおよび接地設計のレビュー、ならびに統合型エネルギーパーク構成としての検討を実施。
• 水素・アンモニア焚き火力発電所、OEM機器、データセンターに関する設計資料を精査し、技術的所見を開発上の要件（CAPEX/OPEX、許認可、建設リスク等）に反映。当社プロジェクトの商務および技術スコープの整合を確保するため、エンジニアリングパートナーとの協働を行い、EPCチームと連携して電気設備・データセンターインフラ関連パッケージのRfQ／RfP作成を支援。
• 国のGX（グリーントランスフォーメーション）戦略に関連する新たな規制・規制緩和事項への対応を含め、許認可・環境・安全に関する各プロセスに技術的な観点から助言・支援を実施。また、プロジェクト開発段階におけるTechnical Risk Registerの維持・更新をチームと協働し実行。
• 電気設備に関するCAPEX／OPEX（設備投資・運転維持費）への影響を定量的に評価し、事業開発、財務、渉外（ガバメントアフェアーズ）など他部門との連携への貢献。あわせて、経済産業省（METI）、JOGMEC、電力会社、地方自治体などの関係者とのコミュニケーションを支援し、投資家・金融機関によるデューデリジェンス対応のサポート。
• 日本国内および他地域で展開される当社のアジャイル戦略の方針下において、発電およびデータセンター等のインフラ開発・運用を統合した24/7カーボンフリー・エネルギー（CFE）ソリューションの最適化への貢献。

Job Description

The position reports to the Senior Director of Business Development, Asia / General Manager, Japan, or to any other personnel as appointed by the company

• Work as part of the PD team in evaluating EHV/HV grid interconnection and electrical infrastructure for hydrogen/ammonia-fired thermal power plants and data centers (DCs), leading or assisting in developing power generation and load grid connection applications with regional utilities to assess capacity, technical feasibility, and timelines.
• Assess the strategic suitability of potential and identified project sites in terms of electrical accessibility, inter-connection points, curtailment, power system reliability and fiber backbone/landing point proximity for both generation and DC projects, including review of single-line diagrams, power balance, protection, and grounding, as well as integrated energy park configurations.
• Review hydrogen/ammonia-fired thermal power plant, OEM, and DC design documents, and translate technical findings and discussions into development-level implications (CAPEX, permitting, construction risk); coordinate and interface with engineering partners to ensure alignment between commercial and technical scopes, and support RfQ/RfP preparation for electrical and DC infrastructure packages in collaboration with the EPC team.
• Provide technical inputs to permitting, environmental, and safety processes, including responses to new (de)regulation-related matters under the national GX strategy, and contribute to maintaining the project’s technical risk register for project and business development.
• Quantify electrical CAPEX/OPEX impacts and coordinate with other functions such as business development, finance, and government-affair teams, while supporting stakeholder communications (METI, JOGMEC, utilities, local governments, etc.) and due diligence with investors and lenders.
• Contribute to optimizing 24/7 carbon-free energy solutions that integrate generation and DC or other infrastructure development and operations, in line with the company’s overall agile strategy across Japan and other regional activities where applicable.

応募資格等

東京または東京近郊に居住しており、下記の条件に該当する方（港区田町/三田駅最寄りのオフィスに過度な負担なく通勤できる方）。

• 電気工学、電力系統工学、または関連分野の学士号以上を有し、特別高圧／高圧発電または系統連系エンジニアリング（電力会社、EPC、またはIPPデベロッパーでの経験優遇）に関連する部門において5年以上の実務経験を有する方。
• 電気技術者として特別高圧以上の事業用電気工作物の電気設備開発における5年以上のハンズオンの業務経験を有し、日本の系統連系プロセスおよび関連ドキュメンテーションを含む電力系統エンジニアリングに精通しており、これらの分野で実践的なリーダーシップを発揮した経験を有する方（特に特別高圧以上の事業用電気工作物として火力発電所の系統接続申請作成・申請業務が対応可能な方）。
• 発電事業等に関連する国内の電気関連法規および技術基準を理解し、また電気土木および電気通信に関する基礎知識を有すること。
• FS／FEED、EPC、またはOEMの技術文書を理解・解釈し、それを新規性の高いプロジェクト開発上の判断や他部門との日常業務に反映できる能力を有すること。
• 技術士（電気・電子部門）または主任技術者（第二種以上を優先）の資格を保有し、普通自動車運転免許を有すること。
• 大規模火力発電所（化石燃料・バイオマス）および/またはデータセンターの電気設計または運用経験を有する方を歓迎。
• 日本語での協働的なコミュニケーション能力および英語での実務レベルの読解・文書作成能力を有すること。

Qualification & Skill

The above position requires both legal residency and physical presence in greater Tokyo area

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in EHV/HV power generation, substation, or grid connection engineering (utility, EPC, or IPP developer).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a focal or lead electrical engineer involved in the development of electrical installations for business-use power facilities, with familiarity with power system engineering including Japan’s grid interconnection processes and related documentation, and demonstrated hands-on leadership in those areas.
• Experience in electrical design or operation of large-scale thermal power plants and/or data centers is preferred.
• Possesses a solid understanding of electrical regulations and technical standards related to power generation projects, as well as basic knowledge of electrical civil works and electrical communications.
• Ability to interpret EPC, FS/FEED, or OEM technical documents and link them to project development decisions and day-to-day coordination with other functions.
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese and working-level proficiency in English (technical reading and writing).
• Holds a Professional Engineer (Electrical and Electronics) qualification or a Chief Electrical Engineer license (Class II or higher preferred) as well as a valid ordinary driver’s license.
