Data Scientist

Our client is seeking a talented Data Scientist to design and deploy AI-driven solutions that power data-informed decision-making. In this role, you’ll build scalable data pipelines, develop predictive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics and machine learning into business operations. You’ll also champion best practices in data quality, governance, and ethical AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources.

• Work with engineering and business teams to identify and prioritize data use cases.

• Build, validate, and deploy predictive and machine learning models at scale.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis and translate findings into actionable insights.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems and platforms.

• Implement scalable solutions using cloud-based and big data technologies.

• Monitor model performance and perform retraining to maintain accuracy.

• Document data workflows, modeling approaches, and technical decisions.

• Promote responsible AI practices and support data security and compliance initiatives.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in AI system development, including the design, implementation, and deployment of AI-driven solutions addressing real-world business challenges

• Proficiency in Python or Rust

• Hands-on experience with Git for version control

• Familiarity with Docker for containerization

• Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)

• Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI systems

• Experience deploying and managing MCP (Model Control Plane) servers or similar AI infrastructure

• Ability to manage both development and maintenance tasks effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

• Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1 or above) and business level English (TOEIC 800+)

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and AI-based solutions

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure ML Pipelines)

• Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Plotly, Dash)

• Knowledge of MLOps practices and related tools

• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or other big data platforms

• Understanding of AI ethics, fairness, and model interpretability

• Exposure to multi-modal AI (e.g., integrating text, image, and audio data)

• Experience in API development and integration for AI services

• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding models
