■About "TCG (The Common Global)"
TCG (The Common Global) is a new science and research-based sustainability brand. The goal of the brand is to provide a better retail alternative for customers who are looking for sustainable clothes that are good looking, fashionable, and at a reasonable price. TCG hopes to bring new materials, new processes, and new ideas out of the lab and into the marketplace.
TCG already has stores in Hong Kong and look to expand in Japan and East Asia. Our goal is to become a regional online and offline brand.
Already our small Japan start up team is made up of industry seasoned suppliers, designers, and operations professionals from Japan and the rest of Asia. We have been opening popup stores in Tokyo, and we plan to open new stores and build our flagship store in Tokyo in the next few months.
We are looking for a General Manager for Japan to lead the team and drive TCG’s growth.

■About the job
The role of the General Manager is to lead and build our Japan team.
This is a ground up opportunity to shape and build a new business.

This manager will

• Manage the existing retail stores and help select and build new stores in Japan
• Build the retail team and the operations teams to support the brand expansion
• Build the online business team
• Coordinate with the product design team to ensure smooth line development
• Build marketing team, HR function, and finance function, to support brand development
• Manage regular reporting meetings and updates to the Board and build effective communications between the different functional teams
• Build an effective brand culture

■仕事内容
日本市場におけるTCGの成長を牽引するゼネラルマネージャーを募集します。
既存店舗の運営管理や新店舗の選定・立ち上げを担当し、リテールチームおよびオペレーションチームの構築・育成を行います。
また、オンライン事業チームの立ち上げや商品デザインチームとの連携による商品開発、マーケティング・人事・財務の各機能構築も担います。
定期的な取締役会への報告や部門間の効果的なコミュニケーション促進、ブランドカルチャーの醸成も重要な役割です。

【必須要件】

• Should be able to understand Japanese as well as either Chinese or English
• Have experience in apparel, fashion, or related retail business
• Have had some working experiences with global companies in Japan
• Can manage fast growing businesses and have entrepreneur skills
• Can work independently
