POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will be responsible for mechanical engineering and project coordination related to automated systems for the automotive industry. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from understanding customer requirements to mechanical design, vendor collaboration, and system testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and specify mechanical components for automated machinery
Coordinate mechanical aspects of automation projects
Meet with customers to gather and summarize technical requirements
Prepare RFQs and request vendor quotations for mechanical components
Manage vendor relationships for component manufacturing and programming
Request vendors to build mechanical items and program PLC/HMI
Review and verify specifications and functionality with vendors
Support system testing at Hitachi Automation and at customer sites
Provide mechanical engineering support during customer visits
Manage project schedules and ensure timely deliverables
Coordinate suppliers and vendors for smooth workflow
Assist sales team with technical input and cost estimates
Prepare quotations for mechanical components
Participate in customer visits for sales purposes
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software
Knowledge of pneumatic systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
Hands-on experience in automation within the automotive sector
