Job Summary:
My client is an established organisation within Technology Consulting and they are seeking a Director of AI and Innovation. This position will lead the development and execution of the organization’s AI and Quantum strategy, champion innovation initiatives, and oversee the integration of AI and emerging technologies to enhance products, services, and operational efficiency of their clients. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in AI, Quantum, and innovation management, coupled with strong business acumen to align technology advancements with organizational goals of their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· AI Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the clients' business objectives, identifying opportunities for AI-driven growth and efficiency.
· Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation by leading cross-functional teams to ideate, prototype, and deploy transformative solutions leveraging AI and other emerging technologies.
· Technology Integration: Oversee the development, deployment, and scaling of AI models, algorithms, and systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing platforms and processes of their clients.
· Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of AI engineers, Quantum Engineers, data scientists, and innovation specialists, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with executives, product teams, and external partners to identify business needs, prioritize AI and Quantum initiatives, and deliver measurable outcomes with clients and eventually creating deals and partnerships.
· Research and Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluate emerging AI technologies, and recommend investments in tools, platforms, or partnerships to maintain a competitive edge.
· Ethics and Compliance: Ensure AI solutions adhere to ethical standards, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices, mitigating risks related to bias and misuse.
· Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of AI and Quantum initiatives on business performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
· Budget Oversight: Manage budgets for AI and innovation projects, optimizing resource allocation and justifying ROI to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
· Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering AI, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing or a related discipline preferred.
Experience:
· 10+ years in AI, machine learning, Quantum or data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven track record of delivering AI-driven and Quantum solutions in a business context with clients is a must.
· Experience in sourcing and reaching out to external clients to create deals and partnerships.
· Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving innovation programs.
Technical Skills:
· Expertise in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), quantum or data engineering.
· Familiarity with emerging technologies like generative AI, NLP, computer vision, quantum computing or robotics.
Soft Skills:
· Strategic thinking and ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
· Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
· Preferred: Experience in industry-specific domains e.g., healthcare, finance, retail, knowledge of agile methodologies, and a history of securing patents or publications in AI.
