Data Center Engineer (Global Banking Client)

Data Center Operations at a global financial services firm.

EIRE Systems is looking to hire a Data Center Operations Engineer to support our global banking client. You will be primarily responsible for the delivery of operations and support services for the Data Center to global standards, plus documentation and troubleshooting. This role requires onsite work in the Kanto region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance, decommission and disposal of all hardware equipment required in the data center.
• Ensuring all documentation is kept up to date in a timely manner and all relevant parties informed of changes.
• Proactive identification of opportunities for service improvement, reliability and resiliency of data center operations.
• Assist in planning and deployment of operational requirements such as rack space, patching and power in Data centers and APAC regional server rooms.
• Actively monitor and respond to service requests via ticketing and email.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality service in accordance with organization standards

Requirements: 

• 2-3 years of experience in datacenter work & datacenter BAU operations
• Experience in server/storage hardware and cable (racking/break fix/patching/connectivity),
• Hands on experience with switch and router configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Good understanding of IT service delivery within ITIL methodology, and using ticketing systems
• Experience & understanding of change management

• Networking certifications (CCNA, CCENT, Network+)
• Mature and independent with excellent communication skills
• Detail focused when completing records, tickets and supporting documentation

 Language Requirements:

• Fluent English and Business level Japanese (JLPT N3) and above
