This role is for a Legal Counsel based in Tokyo, reporting to the Head of Legal in Singapore. As the sole legal professional for Japan operations, the position leads on all legal matters in the country, including contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and commercial issues. The Legal Counsel will work closely with internal teams across the business and coordinate regularly with the Head of Legal and the legal team in Singapore to ensure alignment on cross-border projects and company-wide legal strategy.
The Legal Counsel will play a key part in supporting the company’s growth while ensuring all activities meet local laws and regulations. Strong collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently are essential, given the role’s broad scope and responsibility as the main legal point of contact in Japan.

Experience in project finance or project development, and experience with transactions involving the energy sector (strong preference for renewables) in Japan preferred
