Job Description

The objective of the HR operations is to manage day to day HR operations from on-boarding to off-boarding. HR services routine includes payroll, social insurance, benefit, attendance and leave management.

Description

  • Coordinate monthly payroll (outsourced), annual bonus, year-end tax adjustment, social insurance related process for all direct hire employees.
  • Attendance management including assessing annual leaves, overtime in line with local labor law.
  • Support employee life cycle: maternity/parental leave, personal sick leave, etc.
  • Coordinate process employee on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Handle retirement (lump sum payment at retirement)
  • Lead following employee's financial benefits: Life insurance, Annual Leave, etc.
  • Review HR policies together with Sr HR Director using business focused best practices and ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll procedures
  • Stay updated on important C&B law and HRIS modules
  • Lead annual labor management agreement.
  • Maintain HR records (personal changes, job history, retire, leave, etc.)
  • Various certificate issuance, report creation, reporting related
  • Main point of contact for general inquiries from employees in responsible area.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties to support HR/GA team.

Required Skills

  • 5 years+ experience in payroll at mid-sized business (FTE 300+).
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent Japanese and Business level English (TOEIC 750+)
  • Experience in attendance management and social / labor insurance.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Japan labor law and tax administration.
  • Experience in implementing and managing DC pension plan.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent business partnering.
  • Excellent math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver results under challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented.
  • Preferred experience working within King of Time, Kao Navi, ADP, etc.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office are required with particular focus on Excel (VLOOKUP, PIVOT, SUM, SUMIF/S) and Word.
